Italian Cooking Classes: Roman-Style Pizza Making
with Chef Luca Ferrante, owner of Sapori ITALIAN Street Food
OVERVIEW:
Learn the fundamentals of Italian Pizza making from Rome and the surrounding area of Lazio.
Your chef-instructor, Luca, will introduce and demonstrate how to prepare a Roman-style pizza, including making the dough. Not to be confused with Napoletana-style pizza, Roman-style pizza can be found all over Italy.
Luca will demonstrate a Pizza Margarita and a Pizza Salsiccia (Sausage pizza).
While this is a demonstration class only, you will have time to savour the different pizzas within a larger group setting of the restaurant.

Meet your Chef-Instructor, Luca Ferrante
Luca hails from Spermonga in the Lazio region on the west coast of Italy between Rome and Naples. He is the owner of the Sapori Italian Street Food Restaurant in Downtown, Halifax NS.
He learned Italian cooking from school, his father’s restaurant and his experiences around the world.
Luca has worked in Italy, Switzerland, England, USA, Australia, Bermuda. His roles have been cook, waiter, Maitre D", Manager, Owner. He previously taught Italian cooking while working at Primavera Restaurant in Bermuda.
