Located in the heart of Halifax’s North End, the Italian Canadian Cultural Association (ICCA) offers a welcoming and distinctive venue for meetings, celebrations, receptions, and corporate events. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a larger event, our flexible spaces, licensed bar, and experienced team provide the foundation for a memorable occasion.
Our space is ideal for:
Community Meetings: We offer a professional, affordable space with flexible room layouts, audiovisual equipment, and Wi-Fi for productive meetings and community gatherings.
Celebration Parties: Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, retirement parties, bridal and baby showers, graduations and family gatherings in our welcoming Clubroom or Grand Hall. We offer optional bar service and flexible room layouts to suit your event.
Celebration Receptions: Designed for larger receptions and formal celebrations including wedding receptions, engagement parties, anniversary celebrations, awards dinners and cultural events. Every reception is customized to your guest count, food service, bar requirements and event needs.
Corporate Events & Experiences: From team meetings and appreciation events to private cooking classes and authentic Italian cultural experiences, the ICCA offers a unique venue your guests won’t find anywhere else in HRM. Our private Italian culinary and cultural experiences offer ways to incorporate cooking classes and authentic Italian cultural experiences to help bring your group together in a memorable way.
Bar Services
The ICCA is a licensed facility. All alcoholic beverages, as well as non-alcoholic beer, wine, mocktails and similar specialty beverages, must be purchased and served through the ICCA Bar Service. Outside alcoholic beverages and these specialty beverages are not permitted. Bartender staffing is determined by guest count and event requirements.
Catering Options
Our commercial kitchen, located off our main hall, is ideal for catered events using our in-house (if available) and preferred caterers. Kitchen access for food assembly and catering support is available for qualifying events. Additional fees and kitchen staffing may apply.
Sorry, we do not rent out our commercial kitchen.

ICCA Members* receive a 20% discount on rental fees.
We offer a 15% discount on rental fees to registered** non-profit associations.

Decorating and cleanup must take place during your contracted rental period. Early access may be available for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Event Insurance
Depending on the type of event and number of guests, you may be required to purchase event insurance.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE: Our space is accessible with a ramp for entry to the facility and an elevator for access to the accessible washrooms.
Washrooms include space for wheelchair users to move around freely, along with wider doors and grab bars in the bathroom stalls. (Note: Our washrooms do not have push-button doors, but our front entries do.)

Booking a Site Viewing
A site inspection can be arranged. Appointments are 30 minutes and include a full tour of the venue. Contact us using the button below.

RENTAL Policies
SOCAN and RESOUND FEES may apply to your rental. Our rental team will let you know at your initial meeting.
The ICCA supports the responsible service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in compliance with the regulations of the Nova Scotia Alcohol and Gaming Authority. The ICCA reserves the right to discontinue the service to patrons who violate the principles of responsible alcohol consumption. All beverages to be served in licensed (NSLC) function rooms must be provided by the ICCA. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Special requests must be made at least one week before the date of your event. The last call to the bar will be at 12:00 am.
Non-Refundable Deposit
A minimum $500.00 or 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. Your deposit is allocated towards the total for your event. Get started now by contacting our rental committee to book your event.
* To qualify for the facility rental discount for personal memberships, you must have had an ICCA Membership for a minimum 2-year period prior to the event rental date.
