The Italian Canadian Cultural Association of Nova Scotia (ICCA-NS) is seeking a Virtual Assistant for eCommerce Support.
This is a flexible, remote role as a contractor, with 15 to 20 hours per month, ideal for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional who can work independently.
Responsibilities:
Support the Cooking & Language Schools by:
Managing online class registrations, payments, and refunds
Updating class offerings on the Squarespace website and Square eCommerce platform
Coordinating deadlines and tasks with the Marketing & School Directors
Maintaining organized records using Google Drive
Communicating with students and instructors as needed
Requirements:
Must be located in Canada
Must provide a current Criminal Background Check (ICCA-NS will reimburse the fee after submission)
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
Strong communication and writing skills
Experience with the following tools:
Squarespace (website updates)
Square eCommerce (product setup and payments)
ConvertKit (emails and online products)
Canva (basic graphic design using provided templates)
Google Workspace (email, Drive for document storage)
Slack (instant messaging for collaboration)
Bonus Skills:
QuickBooks (basic invoicing and tracking)
Social media marketing experience
Able to speak/write in Italian
