HALIFAX’S LITTLE ITALY TO HOST THE ITALIAN WEEKEND FESTIVAL

The ICCA will once again host the Halifax community for its annual Italian Weekend Festival, on September 8, & 9th, 2023.

Stuffed with authentic Italian cuisine, entertainment, and a taste of our Italian cooking and language classes, “Italian Weekend” delivers Rome to Halifax in an experience of Italy that the entire family can enjoy!

Run by volunteers, the ICCA has become the city’s ‘Little Italy’ creating a space for Italian-Canadians to congregate, along with many others who want to experience “La Bella Vita!”

Many volunteers spearhead this event every year. An event that was created by past generations that continues to be appreciated by the youth of today.

We welcome all members of the Halifax Regional Municipality and visitors to enjoy a weekend in Italy with the ICCA’s Italian Weekend Festival!

Celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Italian Republic in Halifax NS

The Executive of the ICCA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who attended la Festa della Repubblica on Friday evening.

It was wonderful to reconnect, see familiar faces, meet new people and share many laughs. Many respected dignitaries and officials were in attendance, including Marilisa Benigno, Honorary Consul of Italy for the Maritime Provinces of Canada. There were also 6 students from Italy participating in the Nova Scotia International Study Program.

A special thank you to Bruna Meggetto, Lanfranco Nardi and Tina Gobessi for their hard work in the kitchen and Eugene Mio for beautifying our planters.
