Festa Italiana Weekend 2024 - A Taste of Italy in Halifax
Join us for a weekend of Italian food, fun, and culture!
The “Festa Italiana Halifax” delivers an experience of Italy that the entire family can enjoy - right here in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This is your opportunity to join us and experience HRM’s ‘Little Italy’ - two days filled with Italian food, culture, language and more food! The Italian Canadian Cultural association opens its doors and offers a space for everyone in our community who wants to experience “La Bella Vita!” (The Good Life).

GNOCCHI NIGHT!
Join us on on Friday, September 13th, from 6-9pm to kick off the weekend with Gnocchi Night. Indulge in a plate of Gnocchi Pomodoro or Tricolori (3 – pesto, pomodoro, and formaggi). Desserts offered are cannoli, crostoli, crostata, and tiramisu.
Renato, Michael and the Cherubini team will be at the Barbeque ready to share homemade sausages and savoury arrosticini.
TUTTO ITALIANO!
On Saturday, September 14th, from 12-9pm, immerse yourself in a full day of Italian culinary delights. Our menu features Lasagna, Cannelloni filled with spinach and ricotta, Gnocchi Pomodoro, Penne Pomodoro, Pizza Margherita, sausage with creamy polenta, meatballs, rolls, salad, and hot off the BBQ sausages and arrosticini. For those with a sweet tooth, we have an array of Italian desserts including cannoli, crostoli, crostata, and tiramisu.
WINE TASTING AT THE FESTA!
Enhance your Italian experience with our Wine Tasting sessions.
Held on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 3pm & 7pm, these sessions include five wines and light food accompaniments.
Led by professional sommeliers, you'll learn about Italian wines while enjoying a convivial atmosphere.
Seating is limited to 12 people per session.

EXPERIENCE ITALIAN CULTURE
Dive deeper into Italian culture with a visit to our Italian Library, where you can talk to members about life and travel in Italy. Our language school teachers will be offering free Italian lessons, so you can "Parli Italiano!" (Speak Italian!). Plus, there's some fun for the kids with the “Andiamo a Pescare” (children’s fishing game) with prizes to be won! Learn to play a game of Bocce!
MEET THE HALIFAX WANDERERS WITH ITALIAN ROOTS!
On Friday, September 13th, join us for a special meet and greet with three players from the Halifax Wanderers!
From 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, you'll have the chance to meet:
Giorgio Probo, hailing from Bergamo
Massimo Ferrin, with roots in Calabria and Udine
Riley Ferrazzo, whose family comes from Bojano and Ascoli Piceno
